Mini VALENTINES PARIS TRIP
February 15-19, 2020
FEBRUARY 15, SATURDAY | Meet in Paris at hotel. Leave bags at hotel and walk to lunch in Latin Quarter. Private guided tour of the Louvre, tailored for younger visitors. Free time to explore the museum on your see art on your own or take provided art supplies to go sketch for a while. Depart the museum and walk through the Jardin des Tuileries- with a stop at a playground or by Angelina’s for some hot chocolate. Scenic route back to the hotel (via cars) past the Champs Élysées, Arc de Triumph, Eiffel Tower, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Settle into rooms & freshen up for dinner. Dinner on your own in small groups. (Reservations provided at great places, if you’d like!)
FEBRUARY 16, SUNDAY | Optional walk around Île St Louis. Leave hotel for brunch. Brunch near Luxembourg Gardens. Brunch near the Luxembourg Gardens + Latin Quarter. Stroll through Luxembourg Gardens- free time to play and explore the gardens and neighbourhood nearby. Visit to Musee de l’Orangerie to see Monet’s famous Water Lily panels and other Impressionist works. Return to hotel in the late afternoon for a rest and chance to freshen up. Walk to dinner nearby at Le Relais de l’Entrecote, which famously serves only one thing: incredible steak-frites! Walk back to hotel via the river with views of Notre Dame and the islands.
FEBRUARY 17, MONDAY | Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Le Marais- free time to explore and shop winding streets with lovely boutiques, visit museums (Picasso, Pompidou or Carnavalet), gorgeous tiny parks + playgrounds. Lunch on your own in the Marais. Afternoon in Montmartre. Visit Sacre Coeur Basilica and see the sweeping panoramic views of Paris and wander through Artists’ Square and the tiny village within Montmartre. Wind your way down the city streets back towards the hotel. Hop in a taxi when we get tired and head back to the hotel. Dinner on your own or in small groups. (Reservations will be provided again, for those interested.)
FEBRUARY 18, TUESDAY | Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Versailles. Meet with our cooking instructor, and begin cooking class. After cooking class concludes, head to Versailles with free time to get lunch and explore the gardens. Bike and boat rentals are available and highly recommended. If you’d like to explore the chateau, you can purchase your own tickets upon arrival. Afternoon departure for Paris. Free time t rest time at hotel, walk around or purchase souvenirs. FEBRUARY 19, WEDNESDAY | Depart for your flights back home at various times. Private chauffeured cars will be provided. For those that aren’t pressed for time or are continuing on, an optional day pass for Disneyland Paris can be arranged. Private transportation and Walt Disneyland tickets for adult + child are £225. Additional hotel night can be booked for those wishing to stay in the hotel this evening.
