Good morning from France.
I have to tell you,
I giggled the whole way through this.
Cassie is just the cutest!
PS. I'm off to Champagne today!
Wish you were here...
Bonjour, Amis! (or 'Hey ya'll' if you're from my neck of the woods!) I'm Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! and I'm thrilled to be guesting on Lauren's gorgeous blog today! I live vicariously through her posts and travels. And funny that she asked me to participate in this series, since Mr. Sugarplum and I are actually going to Paris (& Belgium *sqeeeeeeeal*) next month!
Keep in mind she didn't ask me, "If you were paying for it, what would your day in Paris be like?"
Without further ado...
If I Woke Up In Paris, I Would....
Good morning from my suite at the Hotel de Crillon! We throw open the doors to the balcony and gaze upon the city.
I throw on my impossibly chic outfit, with no regard to how comfortable the shoes are, and we stroll hand-in-hand to Les Deux Magots for a long, leisurely breakfast of no-carb croissants, juice and French-press coffee, er, I mean cafe.
Since we bop across the pond every other month, we are in no rush to see all the sights...Darling, we've seen them all! After people-watching through my Chanel shades for hours, we've worked up another appetite, so we wander to a sidewalk Creperie. I try all the flavors (calorie-free of course!) and determine Nutella is my favorite.
It's been a strenuous day, so we head back to our suite for a nap. A knock at the door rouses me from my perfect sleep, and I'm greeted by Room Service and a complimentary bottle of Dom Perignon! Really! After my stylists give me a blow-out and smoky-eye, I slip on my Louboutins and we head out.
The evening is spent on a private Bateaux Mouche, cruising up and down the Seine. We stop near the Eiffel Tower and watch a jaw-dropping fireworks display. (This part has actually happened to us...except for the whole private thing. We watched the Bastille Day fireworks celebration this way in 2000!)
We stroll through the city until the wee hours of the morning...another perfect day in Paris.
